Online betaalsysteem
Na onze vorige nieuwsbrief is er heel wat gebeurd:  we zijn nu goed en wel een volle maand onderweg met het online betaalsysteem iDeal , mrCash en eenmalige machtigingen.
Op wat kleine probleempjes na zijn zowel wijzelf als onze klanten vol lof over deze nieuwe betaaloptie.
Het enige wat wij u daarbij wel op het hart willen drukken is om niet meteen na betaling uit te loggen, maar het volledige bestelproces zo snel mogelijk (binnen 1-2 minuten) af te ronden. De bestelling blijft anders nog in uw mandje staan.  Tot nog toe zijn al deze vergeten bestellingen dankzij oplettendheid meestal nog dezelfde dag toch nog succesvol afgerond. Hierbij was het wel essentieel dat klanten ook hadden ingelogd in het systeem en niet een off-line bestelling hadden gedaan.

Kortingsystemen
Over hoe het klantenkortingsysteem werkt is in de vorige nieuwsbrief uitgebreid geschreven, wat terug te vinden is in ons blog .
Sindsdien hebben we echter een 2^e kortingsysteem ingevoerd, namelijk een kwantumkorting. Voor het overgrote deel van de supplementen geldt een kwantumkorting.
Daarnaast is er tijdelijk gedurende de eerstkomende 2 weken tot en met 21 september een extra  promotionele korting : u koopt 2 items en krijgt het 3^e er gratis bij. Dit geldt voor een groot aantal van onze eigen Pasio producten evenals een drietal producten van Jarrow: 100% krill oil, ChocoMind en CLA. In de loop van de week komt er nog een 2e actie van 3+1 voor een aantal andere producten bij.
Waarom tot 21 september? Dat is niet alleen het begin van de herfst na een herfstige zomer, maar ook vieren wij dan onze eerste trouwdag.

Nieuwe supplementen
We gaan in hoog tempo door met het toevoegen van nieuwe supplementen. Wie de vorige opsomming gemist heeft, kan deze nalezen in de lange lijst voor het gehele jaar of de kortere seizoenslijst.
Er zijn er een aantal bijgekomen, die al heel lang in het assortiment van Jarrow zaten, zoals diverse mineralen en het overbekende creatine monohydraat als poeder. Maar ook een paar nieuwe, zoals Brain Boost (combinatie van diverse smart supps) en groene thee zonder caffeïne erin, zodat u deze ook ’s avonds laat kunt innemen. Tot slot is er als nieuwigheid ook een basispakket bijgekomen, bestaand uit supplementen, die wij aan sportende vrouwen aanbevelen

Lopende werkzaamheden
De informatie in de webwinkel zelf wordt gaandeweg verbeterd: nog niet overal is complete Nederlandstalige omschrijving voorhanden.
We proberen zo systematisch mogelijk te werken, wat inhoudt dat zaken alfabetisch per categorie worden aangepakt: de aminozuren zijn daarom het meest up-to-date!
Als u ergens tegenaan loopt en het storend vindt, stuur een email , dan wordt dat product als eerste bijgewerkt. 

Op het gebied van technische snufjes is een optie gekomen om binnen een categorie anders te sorteren: voorlopig alleen op naam, code of op prijs, maar de bedoeling is dat er ook nog andere eigenschappen bij komen.  
Aangezien veel van onze klanten vegetariër of veganist zijn, is nu ook al op categorie-niveau zichtbaar of een supplement voor veganisten geschikt is: hierbij gaan we uit van de strikste definitie: geen zuivel en geen producten waar delen van dieren zijn verwerkt zoals botten, kraakbeen of olie.

In de ‘pijplijn'
Na alles bij elkaar ruim 12 jaar Jarrow Formulas als leverancier van bijna alle supplementen (eiwitpoeders zijn de grote uitzondering) te hebben gehad, zullen we binnenkort in zee gaan met AOR, een Canadees bedrijf dat is ontstaan vanuit een apotheek en gespecialiseerd in bijzondere en zeer hoog gedoseerde supplementen.  
Eigenlijk is de keuze voor AOR een logische: ze hebben jarenlang de wederverkoop van Jarrow Formulas in Canada gedaan en andersom werd bijvoorbeeld de guggul van Jarrow door AOR vervaardigd.
Nieuws op kleinere schaal is dat dat er een aantal interessante supplementen aan zitten te komen: Amino Recovery met daarin PeptoPro+BCAA. Eveneens goed nieuws voor veganisten: van rijsteiwit zullen er naast vanille nog andere smaken bijkomen en eveneens zal er een nieuwe mengvariant komen met daarin erwteneiwit. Verder zal van kokosolie nu ook de geurloze variant beschikbaar komen evenals kokosolie in capsulevorm voor mensen met een gevoelige maag.

Online payment system
After our last news letter a month ago a lot has happened. In our Dutch webstore we are now using the online payment system iDeal , mrCash.
Outside a few minor problems, we as well as our customers are very pleased about the added payment options. 
The only fly in the ointment can be when a customer forgets to complete the full procedure within a few minutes: do NOT log out immediately but finish the entire process as soon as possible. Otherwise your order will remain in the shopping cart.
Fortunately, all of the incomplete orders have been delivered, since almost everyone had logged in as a customer or was known to us as a client.

Discounts and promotions
Last month we already told about how the customer discount works, which can be found in another blog article.
Since then we have implemented another discount system: Quantity Discount.
For the vast majority of items in this category, there's a quantity discount.
Furthermore there's a temporary celebratory promotion until September 21 for many of these items: buy 2 and get the 3rd one for free.
This discount is valid for the majority of our own Pasio products as well as for 3 products from Jarrow: 100% krill oil, ChocoMind en CLA. This upcoming weekend there is another similar promotion with '3+1 free' for a lot more items.
Why September 21? It's not just the start of autumn after a very autumn-like summer, but also our first wedding anniversary. 

New supplements
We are continueing in a fast pace to add new supplements from Jarrow Formulas. Whoever missed the last newsletter can read up on it in the long list for the entire year or the shorter seasonal list. 
We have added a few items that have been sold by Jarrow for a very long time already, like various minerals as well as the old-fashioned creatine monohydrate powder.
But also a couple of newcomers, like Brain Boost (a combination of various 'smart' supps) and decaffeinated green thee, so you can take these capsules at night too.

Work in progress
The information in the webshop is continuously being improved: we do not yet have a complete description available for every supplement in our English webstore.
We try to work at it in a systematic way, which means that at the moment, the category of amino acids is most up-to-date!
If you miss information somewhere and find it particularly bothersome, send us an email and we will prioritize that item.

When it comes to using technical tools, we have added the option to sort within a category: not just on the name of an item, but also on its' product (SKU) code as well as on price. We are working on adding a few more options, but this is going to be more difficult to apply.
Since a lot of our customers are vegetarians or vegans, we now also added an additional field on whether or not a product is vegan-friendly, which is already visible on category-level. We are using the strictest definition: no dairy and no products derived from animal parts (bones, cartilage, oil)

Coming up
After having been focusing almost entirely on Jarrow Formulas for well over 12 years, with the exception of protein powders, we will also be adding products from AOR, a Canadian company that started as a pharmacy and is specializing in remarkable and very highly concentrated supplements. 
Actually the choice for AOR is a very logical one: they have been cooperating with Jarrow Formulas for many years by selling their supplements in Canada and producing some products like guggul for Jarrow.
News on a smaller scale is that there will be a number of very interesting supplements from Jarrow coming up: Amino Recovery with PeptoPro+BCAA. There's also good news for vegans: they will be able to have more choices in rice protein flavours: not just vanilla but also berry and chocolate. There will also be a new Vegan protein powder which has pea protein in it.
Finally we will be carrying all of the varieties in coconut oil: not just the very flavourful extra virgin coconut oil, but also the more versatile 'unflavoured' coconut oil as well as coconut oil in capsules for people with a sensitive stomach.
